Critical Review Against Business Needs
Typically an organisation's IT capability will grow organically, with staff either joining or transitioning into IT-based roles to meet immediate demands. Over a period the collective IT Team, be that infrastructure support, web management or business application provision, will invariably become sub-optimal in size and organisation, and the supporting management processes will become strained.
IndigoBlue's IT capability audit is designed to critically review specific aspects of IT capability (or indeed the overall provision) against the business needs to ensure it is fit-for-purpose.
The review includes staff appraisal, organisational structure and IT management processes. It is designed to optimise the IT team; to ensure that gaps are addressed and that the value of the team is maximised.
The audit addresses the following:
- Identifies any gaps between the business strategy and IT provision
- Identifies barriers imposed to by the current provision
- Recommends the changes needed to close the gap
