We chose IndigoBlue because they not only had the required IT expertise, but also had a clear understanding of the business and cultural issues involved. We were also impressed with their approach, which gave continual feedback and provided ample opportunity for staff, stakeholders and other suppliers to input knowledge and ideas."

IndigoBlue has recently completed a strategic review of the Institute of Physics (IOP) Group’s IT delivery capability. This includes all of the Institute’s IT systems and those of the commercial operation, the Institute of Physics Publishing (IOPP).
The publishing organisation presented a particular challenge; it has a number of legacy systems that are mission critical to the Group’s annual turnover of £27 million. These systems are used worldwide and require substantial investment to ensure the Group remains competitive.
The other challenge was that the IOPP utilised a different technology base to the Institute.
IndigoBlue developed an incremental replacement strategy for the overall group with supporting systems architecture and business change plan that reduces risk and ensures continuity of service. This strategy identified where it was best to have a unified approach across the group and where separate approaches were more appropriate. It also identified an integrated approach to their websites.
IndigoBlue followed this with the development of a detailed business continuity plan for the IOP and vendor selection for a replacement event management system - two of the steps in the incremental strategy.
I picked up this article - Are you making this mistake at the end of your meetings? - on LinkedIn, via a connection of mine over at Ceridian drawing my attention to it. I have read it a couple of times and it is certainly worth a read.
