It's good to see our friend Israel Gat has just been appointed as the Director of Agile Practice at the Cutter Consortium Israel is speaking at our Agile Enterprise Forum in March and will be discussing Agile Governance: how to link value to delivery. Israel has some fascinating insights on applying Agile and Lean techniques to the increasingly complex business world of social networking, cloud computing and mobile computing.
Israel will be joined at the Forum by such luminaries as Charles Handy, Don Reinertsen, Chris Potts and John Seddon. It should be a great event.
I get asked the question ‘who is your favourite 19th century Prussian Field Marshal’ quite a lot, as I suspect you do as well. There are of course several great contenders for this title, but my vote has to go Helmuth Von Moltke the Elder. Why? Because of his contribution to the concept of dynamic planning! Trying to convince people that planning is a continuous and never ending process and not something that’s completed at the start of a project is a constant challenge for me and I will grab any support I can get.
