Following the recommendations of the Institute for Government’s System Error report, the Cabinet Office stipulated in its ICT Strategy for Government that all government bodies implement a minimum of one project during 2011/12 using an Agile methodology.
To support this change, and understand its impact, Socitm Insight has engaged with 6 projects in local government within an Agile Pathfinder Programme (APP). The aim is to assist in framing the APP objectives, to track progress and to summarise conclusions and recommendations from the study. Socitm Insight will produce a report and case studies in conjunction with the participating authorities. The report will be widely distributed to members and the wider public sector to help inform future decision-making in relation to the adoption of Agile.
IndigoBlue is delighted to be partnering with the Socitm in this programme. We are providing consultative support to the Pathfinder projects to provide every opportunity for success.

Today's highly competitive and rapidly changing markets that see the rise and fall of the likes of Nokia and MySpace places business imperatives on companies. In particular, companies need to be innovative, introducing new products, updating others to react to changes in the market (or predicting or even creating these market changes).
