Ensuring your successful transition to Agile
- Incremental change programme
- Involvement of your whole team
- Effective evolution of the process
- Comprehensive understanding by all
Transitioning to Agile is not simply about training and project support, it requires organisational change within your IT and stakeholder groups.
Introducing a new process is effectively a programme of change. Involving the whole team in reviewing and assessing readiness, refining processes; adapting behaviours; introducing new governance requirements; and removing organisational constraints.
A transition will typically include:
- A review of your prevailing context, existing processes and organisational constraints: readiness
- Definition of new governance requirements to provide greater Agility within your existing process
- Support for Program Office in the implementation of your new requirements
- Project support for adherence to process changes
- Definition of role changes and supporting training
- Definition of new testing approach (including automation)
- Development of an engagement model for third-party and off-shore Agile development
Evolving the process through iterations on real projects means that a wide range of your staff are involved at a deep level. This will result in a more comprehensive understanding of the process and its objectives and values than if training courses alone were used.
